Lack basic water heater knowledge. Took 3 visits to NOT install our electric water heater. First visit we were told it wouldn’t work because we used 10/2 wire (typical of water heater installation and correct for our model) rather than 10/3. Second visit we were told water heater wasn’t working because it was left on cold setting from factory, yet the coldest setting is 90 degrees and we got only cold water. Third visit they wrote unit off as defective. Luckily manufacturer provided us with new heating elements at no cost under warranty and I was able to replace myself. Installer turned power on before tank was full and burned out the heating element causing it not to work. Unit now works but only because we did our own research and ended up doing some of the work ourselves.

Very poor customer service... Anchor plumbing came to my home in April to fix my toilet as it was not flushing. For a brief period of time (few months) the issue appeared to be resolved. A request was made through Sears home warranty to have them return as there was a recurrence of the problem. A worker named Freddy returned and after a brief examination ( flushed a few times, only) he concluded the toilet needed to be replaced. A claim report was submitted and it was denied on account of the report indicating it was clogged (policy does not cover). I called Freddy back and asked him to explain his conclusion of it "being clogged" and his response was "it's an old toilet that's what it must be". I said you did not even attempt to unclog the toilet by snaking it. He agreed that he should have. Upon trying to re-schedule them to come back out I was advised they now will be charging me a service visit separate from whatever my policy with Sears indicated. As I began to explain my situation the woman became attitudinal and interrupted me continuously. I calmly asked why she was becoming aggressive and perhaps I needed to speak to a manager. "I AM THE MANAGER AND THERE WILL BE A FEE AND THATS THAT. I said you have a nice day and you can be certain Anchor plumbing will be getting plenty of negative reviews. Bottom Line Anchor Plumbing did not do right by this customer and that is very telling about a business... EMPHATICALLY RECOMMEND CHOOSING ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER!!!
