I called for a clog and sewer blockage and they found a break in the line. They got me scheduled quickly and took care of all of my needs. All of their staff were professional and considerate and took the time to explain whenever I had questions.

Since my husband was terminally ill I had to find someone to repair my clogged sewer. On 4/21/2017 I paid Mr. Rooter $258+ to clean and inspect my sewer line that was backing up into the utility tub. They gave me a cost estimate and scope of work to perform a sewer trap replacement for $3,890. I paid them $1,500 and entered into a contract. They began on 4/25. They pointed out the lateral pipe coming out of my basement and they worked all day but, at EOD they said it would cost more to complete because of water and soil issues. They filled the hole. Next day they asked for an additional $5,750. I felt I had no choice but to agree. They re-dug the hole that they filled the previous day damaging the driveway and sidewalk and claimed they could not locate the sewer pipe they had showed me previously. To complete the job they would return the following day, install a hanging sewer system and hook it up to the main sewer line for an additional $9,709 -- promised completion 4/27. We are now over $20,000. They arrived on 4/27 and again re-dug the hole they filled the previous day and installed a hanging sewer system along the inside basement wall but did not connect it to the main sewer system. At this point the hole was as big as my entire front yard and soil was collapsing, compromising the foundation and clogging the main sewer system. At this point the Village of Minoa confronted Mr. Rooter employees who admitted they could not perform the work. The Village shut them down and ordered them off the site due to incompetence. The Village finished the work themselves on May 4. I was left with sewer pipes hanging in basement, ruined driveway and sidewalk, totally destroyed front and side yard and a credit card bill of over $20,000 plus repair costs. I have spent 2 years of countless phone calls, letters and meetings trying to resolve this and have had absolutely no relief from Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Great Syracuse or their home office in Waco, Texas. Given the circumstances at the time, I felt I had no options, but I hope no one else is foolish enough to do business with this company!!!!!!!

They delayed on first appointment, then canceled next two appointments for my home in Camillus. I do not recommend this company to any homeowner looking for a plumber. Now I must find another plumber to help figure out why the basement is flooding.

The work that was done is fine. However, the technician dented my dryer in 3 places after fixing a pipe above the dryer. When I reached out to see what could be done, they said "the tech said he didn't do it" and that was it. I told them, even though I have pictures as proof and it's a brand new $900 dryer, there was obviously nothing more I could do. I said I would, however, never contact them again to do work for me and would spread the word to my friends and family. They then sent me a $25 off coupon for future services - it was quite insulting. Not pleased with any of it.

Our plumbing tech was not only knowledgeable about the devices but he was also thorough in cleaning our system. We determined that the previous owners of our home had issues that they tried to correct on the "cheap", and had not only gone from the basement to the yard access pipe! The had also replaced the access test plug with a pic smaller ill fitting plug that they silicone rubber sealed, to fill the loose void! Our serviceman had to go get a proper fitting replacement test plug, that he also had to adapt down to fit. It sealed properly, perfectly and no leaks!!! We watched and interacted with our Mr Rooterman the entire time as he cleaned our system and even watched as he ran the camera through our 70yr old system. We were delighted to see first had that our system was not only still solid piping with no breaks but also free flowing and clear. Now to top off our appreciation for the high quality of service we received, we offered a gratuity to our Mr Router. He took his hand back and graciously and respetfully said that it really wasn't necessary! WOW! We saw him get spayed by black smelly sludge a few times. He earned our appreciation, not only from performing the services but also for the personable way he related and interacted with us. He deserved it! The frontline people are the "Face Of The Company" and are the faces you see when you think of a company. We highly recommend Mr. Router of Syracuse and they will greatly benefit from employees like our Mr Router Serviceman!!
