This company has very poor communication skills and is very disorganized. We asked for a back up sump pump evaluation and a gentleman named John came by. Because we have a radon pipe currently installed within our sump pump area, John told us that he needed to do research to see if it's possible to place a back-up pump within the same area. Three to four weeks go by and we did not hear anything from them. After my reaching out several times, they finally called back and concluded that it was possible to do the installation and we agreed upon a date. My husband took a day off of work to be home for them. A different employee from the company showed up and after further evaluation, concluded that it's not possible to install the back up pump after all, because they were afraid to disrupt the radon system. I contacted their main office and the receptionist was not able to assist me when I asked to speak to a manager or someone who can handle customer service issues, saying "this is a mom-and-pop business". I contacted John, who could not even remember whether he or another employee had paid the initial visit to our house to evaluate the sump pump. He was not very interested in listening to my concerns and when I asked him why we had been told yes about the installation and now were being told no, he said it was because of the radon pipe. I reminded him about how he told us about the need to research our sump-pump setup and asked why this issue was not addressed during the research, etc. He could not answer my question and the conversation ended. I would have accepted an apology or, if they have owned up to the fact that they made a mistake. This is not how customers should be treated and I do not appreciate my time being wasted.
Plumber came to install new toilet, and change out some sink drains. Handed me an unitemized bill which I considered pretty high since I provided most of the materials. Later that day noticed a leak in the toilet and called to get them back to fix it. It was after hours but John the owner returned my call and told me the guys would be back between 10 and noon, then he changed his mind and said they would be back first thing to fix their work. Eventually a bit after noon they showed up, claimed to have fixed the problem and proceeded to hand me another bill for $125. Needless to say I was stunned and told the tech that was ridiculous. He actually got a bit of an attitude with me as to why he should work for nothing, my argument was why should I be charged twice for the same job. I offered to split the difference and gave him $60. He left in a huff, I flushed the toilet and it’s still leaking. The call the next day didn’t go well, I was handed off to the owner who proceeded to tell me that I went off on his tech and he wasn’t sure he’d be sending anyone else out, he’d have to think about it. If questioning a bill is going off he needs to stop hiring little babies. Not only does this business employ less than capable plumbers they also have an owner that doesn’t under customer service
I had the switch on a sump pump fail ON, and I had to be the switch until help arrived - which was less than an hour later! Jesse showed up and got to work right away. He was very efficient, respectful, and super-polite; "Do It Right Plumbing" should have 110% confidence in him whenever they send him on a call! Throw your support behind the local businesses and give "Do It Right Plumbing" a call for all your plumbing needs. You won't be sorry!
these people are amazing, not only are they very good but they are fair and really nice people, they will flush your worries away
I’ve worked with this company for several years now and they’ve always been reliable. From installing new sinks and outdoor faucets to replacing leaking tub drains these guys have done it all.
