I have used Sanitary Sewer on multiple occasions and find them to be extremely professional, the Father/Son team aim to please, cannot say enough great things about them, I would highly recommend this business, you won’t be disappointed.
I went with Sanitary Sewer because my wife was a friend of the owner's daughter. I was given a quote for a leech field replacement. I explained that our financial situation was tight because I have been on SS disability fighting Leukemia and we'd be borrowing from family and charitable organizations to pay for the work. The owner gave us a quote and because of the family connection we did not get a competitive quote at our mistake. Sanitary brought some large equipment on our property and destroyed our sprinkler system. The company showed reckless disregard for our home. Some large dump trucks were driven close to our home and shifted and cracked our foundation. We questioned the quote because of the way the job was being handled and a competitor came back with a quote that was 1k less for the same system with more pipe. I emailed the owner asking why he was 1k higher with less pipe and he came to my house and was very abrasive and told me my, "email was $h1t". I strongly urge anyone to not use Sanitary Sewer and if you do get a second quote up front. The owner of this company is dishonest and took advantage of our trust with overinflated quote and showed a reckless disregard for our property..
As a Home Inspector, I work with many contractors in the area and refer them to Buyers and Sellers. Sanitary Sewer Services is one of the best local Septic Companies I have had the pleasure of working with. They are extremely fair in their pricing & Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction is 150%. I recommend them for anybody that has a home with a Septic System requiring Installation, Pump Out, Inspections, and more.
We called sanitary sewer because our leech field had failed and we needed to replace it. The owner worked up a quote for us and insisted he was within a couple hundred dollars of any competitor and we took him at his word, which was admittedly our mistake. We had had service from the company on other occasions and had thought the prices to be fair.It took nearly a month to begin the work in the first place. Every time we were told he or other contractors were coming to work no one showed or called to inform us they wouldn't be coming that day and they came when they pleased. When work was started, large dump trucks and excavators drove through the yard and shifted the foundation of our home.Trees were left with half the roots torn out for several days before they were taken out completely during a heavy storm which left us uneasy. We got a quote from a competitor too late which was $1000 less than what we were told from sanitary sewer and the proposed system was bigger than what we received! When we asked about the price difference, the owner swore and was verbally agitated and was yelling outside our home with all of our neighbors to hear.We are on a fixed budget. My husband is on disability due to his 15 year struggle with chronic myeloid leukemia and we had to borrow money to pay for this emergency repair. We even had people from our church donate money for us to get the repair done. All things that the owner was aware of as a long time family friend. I did not expect him to do the job for free or with deep discounts, but I did expect a fair deal and definitely not the poor treatment. It is saddening that we would be sorely taken advantage of by someone I thought I could trust Update: response from owner: Thanks for your feedback and response- you stated that the damages caused were due to the contractor who took the trees down, which may be true, however the tree removal was part of your quote for your job. You brought him on the property and he took direction from you regarding the machinery and vehicles used. Unfortunately, my home now has a cracked foundation. I understand that you think you bear no fault, but the only asset that I have and the home that houses my three children now has a huge flaw in it. Especially considering the chronic disease of my husband, consider if you can that that is a devastating blow to me. I will never be able to sell it for what I bought it at and I may not even have a liveable roof for them to live under. You have also indicated that you tried to explain the reason for the price discrepancy to me. You have never explained anything to me in any form of communication and when my husband emailed you inquiring about the reason, and it was worded with respect, you showed up at my house swearing at him and being aggressive. What kind of a reaction is that to a customer. As you have been in business for quite some time I can not believe this is the first time your prices have ever been called into question. We trusted you and wanted to know the difference. We wanted to give you a chance to explain. We told you upfront that we did not have extra money for anything else. We needed to fix this at the best price, so I don't know why you quoted and went ahead with a project that was more than sufficient for our needs. If the other system quoted by your competitor was sufficient. You provided no other options. You also stated that you Forgot that we had a sprinkler system although your response indicates that you did, and planned for it. Coincidentally, that also has $2000.00 + damage to it, also an asset on my home that I may never recoup the loss of. I'm not angry. I'm just incredibly saddened that you would take advantage of me and my family so badly. I am devastated by this and the only security I had in my life for my kids in the unfortunate event that my husband is no longer here, is gone. This is crippling. If you wanted to continue a conversation regarding this, no one has stopped you. You have our email, phone and address. You've ignored our efforts at communication.
