First time using Donner plumbing for a service issue with a tub drain and clogged line. Damian Padilla and his apprentice, Ricardo, were both incredibly professional, punctual, and respectful. I waited four days for another plumber to show up. Called Donner Plumbing at 7:00 Monday morning and a heating specialist and assistant were at my house by 9:30 a.m. Long story short... my boiler needed to be replaced. Damian, the service Plumber, was excellent. He and Ricardo, his assistant kept the area clean and were very conscientious, considerate, and respectful. His work was excellent and I plan to use this company for all my heating and plumbing needs.
I have employed Donner Plumbing for projects both large and small around my house for about ten years now. While I have generally been very pleased with their service, I will not be calling them out again after today. It took a plumber (Damien) and an apprentice (Ricardo) three and a half hours to clear two partially blocked drains, winterize my swamp cooler, and turn on my furnace, which added up to a charge of over $600! As I explained to the service manager, at these rates Donner is pricing me out of the market for their services. I can only describe this charge as rapacious. Neither of these plumbers had been to my residence previously, and I don't plan on giving them the opportunity to overcharge me again! I am waiting to hear back from the service manager, who promised -- at least -- an explanation for the exorbitant charge. Very disappointed to find I can no longer rely on my favorite plumbing company.
