A-1 Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

Would highly recommend Dennis from A-1 Plumbing. First, I look to use local small businesses whenever possible. A-1 is a small company near our home and called late afternoon on a Friday needing service for a frozen and clogged kitchen sink. After a long and deep cold snap our drain froze and try living without a kitchen sink for a few days! Most plumbers were a week out at minimum but Dennis said he would reach me tomorrow (Saturday) and let me know if he could get us in. By 11 AM on Saturday Dennis called and advised he could be at the house in 30 minutes. After assessing the issue and being clear on the cost up-front, he ran a power snake and rebuilt the trap. All the lines were tested and had the kitchen sink back in under an hour. The cost was reasonable and strangely happy to do a lot of dishes!

he didn't even spend 5 minutes at my house.. he went in the basement and didn't even look at the pipe and said "i can't stand the cat smell" (which is very faint) so he came upstairs and said "good luck" and left... like dude you play with poop all day but you can't stand a cat.. that makes no sense,you need to fix your ways because I'll never hire you guys again and neither will people i tell about this incident.. you couldn't even just give me an estimate then send someone else, you're sad

Came to the door and the first thing he said was to put the dog away, and make sure he was secure. Came back out he was gone. Received a call within a few minutes saying that his machine was broken and he couldn't help us and good luck. At the very least it was very rude just to leave and not let us know that he was not coming back in.

Extremely rude on the phone. Laughed at me and then hung up. DON'T waste your time with this clown.

I was having a drainage problem at my house. It was Christmas week and I tried to DIY it, but failed. I used the "contact us" form on some other plumbers' sites on Christmas eve and never got any response, even still today, which is 12/27/2015. Yesterday my boyfriend pulled out an old yellow pages and we found the ad for A-1, which said they would be out to the house before the other guys even called us back. That turned out to be 100% true. I called several others the same day (12/26) in addition to those I had reached out to on 12/24, and A-1 has already been to the house and done the work. He was literally at my house 90 minutes after I first called him, on a Saturday morning. He didn't charge a premium price for coming on Saturday, he didn't make a mess, he was patient with my dogs. I couldn't have been more pleased. I will definitely call them again.
