Roto-Rooter

I am extremely upset with the lack of service I received from Roto-Rooter. I called yesterday to set up an appointment because I have not had hot water since Wednesday due to a broken gas control valve on my water heater and have not been able to find someone local to fix it. The appointment time was from 1 to 3pm today and I stayed home for three hours waiting for a plumber who never showed up. At 3:56pm, I received an email stating that my appointment had been canceled. When I called, the lady I spoke to said the plumber had been called out to a commercial account and that he didn't know when he would be done so my best bet was to find someone local. I find it highly unprofessional that I was made to stay home for three hours waiting for someone who wasn't coming, and then not even receiving the courtesy of a phone call letting me know the situation. Had I not checked my email, I would still be waiting for him to show up. Due to this company's lack of compassion for their customers and putting commercial accounts ahead of residential I will probably be out of hot water for a few more days until I can locate someone to fix my water heater. Thanks for nothing, Roto-Rooter.
