DeWeerd & Van Dyke

Took almost a week to get back with a quote, was quoted over the phone for a back flow valve installment. We told them we had already purchased the the valve and only need the copper pipe. We live in a basic ranch. We were told over the phone they estimated $300 (which is around the price we have been quoted) and the final quote came in at $845(for copper and labor) $545 dollars over what they originally quoted us. We will not be using their service.

My wife and I have hired DeWeerd & Van Dyke several times over the past few years, for plumbing and hot water heater issues. Two years ago we were in the market for a new furnace, AC, whole home humidifier, whole home air filtration, and a new hot water heater. I have usually always turned to a major heating and cooling resource here in Hudsonville (I think most people from the area will know who I am talking about), but decided to also contact DeWeerd & Van Dyke to quote the job as well. I am sure glad that I did! The equipment DW & VD quoted me (Trane) was much higher rated, more energy efficient, and they did the whole job for less money than we were quoted by their well known competitor. I'm talking several hundred dollars less! The installation crew were friendly and professional, and I was amazed at how quickly they had everything finished. They cleaned up every little bit so there was no clue they had even been there (well other than the brand new equipment they installed). We have had great experiences with their company for plumbing services as well. These guys will always be in my phone's contact list, and my first call for any plumbing or HVAC needs going forward. Amazing service at a great price makes them easy for me to recommend.
