Never order carpet and get it installed through home depot. We knew a third party installed the carpet but never imaged the nightmare of service and installation we would receive. First, the carpet installation was postponed twice, totally an extra 6 week wait. The second time it was postponed was the day they were supposed to come and they pushed it back by another 2 weeks. PTO was used on that wasted day because they didn't know until the day of it couldn't be installed for another 2 weeks?!? I don't think so. Then when it was finally installed, it was garbage. You could seem the sem in the main area as well as on the stairs. Also the stairs in generally looked terrible. The entire thing was loose. When we called, all home depot would do was say "sorry". We ended up having to pay another installer to correct it. We will not being supporting home depot from here on out.

Since I can't put a rating up directly for United Home Services, and they are home depot's installer and we recieved the referral from home depot, the review comes here instead. The LONG story short boils down to this: they showed up 3.5 hours late to do the fence installation and ended up having to do most of the install in the dark, and in doing so, cut my sprinkler lines 6 times, and my neighbor's once. Left chunks of chain link fence scattered all over my yard, two of which I hit with my lawn mower, which tore up the blade, which I had to replace. When contacted about the fact that they had done several hundred dollars worth of damage to the property, they responded that they had no responsibility to fix any damage that they caused, regardless of their own negligence, or the fact that they were working in the dark due to their own tardiness, cutting the same line over and over again, even though it was clearly visible to the naked eye. Several months of back and forth resulted in zero compensation, zero admission of any wrongdoing, despite the lawnscaping company with 20 years on the job stating that they have never seen a fence installation do that much damage to a sprinkler system. AVOID USING HOME DEPOT FOR ANY CONTRACTOR REFERRALS, ESPECIALLY IF DONE BY UNITED HOME SERVICE OR THEIR NEW FENCE INSTALLATION COMPANY AIS INSTALLATIONS.
