Called to have my wall mount propane heater checked , tech spent more time telling me how my system needed $1000 s of repair. Asked if he could install basic inline water filter , tried to sell me the same thing , paid just to get them to leave ASAP Don't waste your time or money Note! this happened along time ago and they most likely have replaced tech

By far the best plumber in the Greater Portland area. Dan was fair, fast, and did quality work. Can't recommend them enough, definitely hire them for your next Plumbing/Heating issue.

Very disappointed in their service. Called for a quote to have a pressure reduction valve installed on my home. Was quoted much higher than I had expected, but figured it was in the ballpark. When the tech arrived he let me know he would need to add about $250 to the quote (which would have now been a total of $700) because there needed to be changes to my plumbing, even though there was a perfectly acceptable spot which would have required no relocation of pipes. The technician (who was very nice) had to call the office to ask a few questions, and then told me they wouldn't be able to solve my issue (he had only had his plumbing license for 2 weeks). Charged me $95 for a diagnostic fee and left letting me know they would give me a call once they found a solution. Never heard from them, and this morning another plumbing service came to install the same valve, in less than 30 minutes, solving my issue, for $250.

Mainly Plumbing and Heating connected my townhouse to the local natural gas line in '12 and I have continued to use them ever since. They are terrific! Not only are they very responsive, their technicians are really good and thorough. For heating and A/C maintenance or repair (both my boiler and whole house A/C unit are 12 years old) I know I can rely on them for excellent service when I need it.

The service we got, if you could call it that, was unbelievably incompetent and unprofessional. It was a challenging bathroom job due to the layout of the plumbing and the possibility of a broken pump. The plumber was angry and complained at the previous workmanship and rude to my wife when she asked if it was possible to repair the system rather than replace the pump, (over $1,000) especially because he could not figure out what the problem really was. He was furious that my wife did not trust his gut feeling and quit. My wife was alone with him and hid because she was afraid of his anger and irrational behavior. Furthermore, when she tried to call the office they did not answer and when they did and we asked to speak to this man they said they couldn't make him answer the phone. Something is very wrong. Yesterday he was on a "vacation day" I have the feeling he is an unstable unfortunate individual whom they have needed and have tried to help or maybe he owns the company. Who knows. The worse experience we have ever had. Do not use this company. The next person we hired, came in, analyzed the problem, gave us an up front quote with an explanation, did the work carefully and cleaned up afterwards. What a difference. If you are desperate, as we were, please don't take a chance this guy was scary.
