Ripoff Alert. Totally sucks. One of these guys came out to my elderly parents condo to do some minor repair work to their deck/outdoor patio. It started off as a no problem, easy 1/2 day job with minimal materials. Sure enough it turned out to be a 3 day /$500 material job. Good thing I was there when this chump came 2 3/4 hours late--10:45 when he was supposed to be there at 8, and told them he was brainstorming about the project all morning. I heard his nonsense from the other room and came out to handle this. His proposal to me was nothing like they originally discussed. When I asked my folks how much for the project, I could not get a straight answer. I went back to him express my concern about the project and material choices. He started waivering on what he told them and me. I then brought up a project cost and breakdown of labor/material cost without a cap or written estimate.... 3 full days at $90 / hr, plus a helper. About 100 bucks of material he states as 500. He could not look me in the eye when I questioned his estimate and project. I guess I asked the right questions.... When he realized I was onto his scam to bill hours , he told me he would go out to his truck to call and discuss with the company and come up with some other ideas. Then, tried to walk out with my folks ladder, and lamely apologized because he had the same one in his truck....guess what , he did the same thing to them the first time he came out trying to snag their ladder! I told my father he would not be back. Sure enough, 30 minutes later my mother gets a note referring her to a specialist contractor for the job. Why not refer them to a specialist from the beginning? I'll tell you why, it was opportunistic preying on the elderly! Shame on him for attempting to milk the elderly for days of work, and thousands of dollars! Shameful. If you need a handy service, be cautious, ask the right questions, get a written estimate, and cap of costs on the projects.

Handyman Services did a stellar job with the 5 small jobs that needed completing. The workers were timely, efficient, competent and friendly. I highly recommend this company.

Sean came over to look at home and discuss projects. I wanted both bath tubs grouted and caulked. Also, a door stop installed. Mine had fallen out. I emailed him with the jobs as he instructed. Never heard back from him. Emailed him to ask if he was able to do job. Never heard back. Poor customer service.

Handyman Services of MD did an awesome job! The were polite, efficient, took care to clean up, and followed up to make sure everything was ok. The work was done on time and the estimate was accurate. We will be using them again!

Very happy with the services provided by Handyman Services of MD. Shawn and his team are very professional and take pride in their work. I will use them again in the future.
