On November 28, 2018, I scheduled service to repair a kitchen faucet that had been installed by BF in 2010 or 2012(?). I have invoices as far back as 2010 referencing a lifetime warranty, and all service performed on the faucet to date (…and there were many) were under warranty. After examining the faucet, the technician said it needed replacement an called back to the office for status of the warranty. His response was that it was not under warranty and that it needed replacement. The faucet he had on his truck was priced at $947 and I agreed to its installation (the existing faucet was leaking). In hindsight, this price is outlandish for a kitchen faucet/installation, but I acknowledge authorizing the work. I blame myself for acting rashly and not considering other options and regret authorizing this work. However, after a week of use, the Chrome Gerber kitchen faucet did not work well with our type of sink and I did not like its functionality. I called BF (spoke to Courtney who was very professional) to see about replacement options and asked whether I could pick out another faucet, or get a refund if I had another faucet installed. I asked if I could select a different faucet for BF to install and she indicated that she would note this in my service order. The BF technician offered to replace the faucet with another model, and offered a 30% discount on the new faucet at a price of over $600. This is absurd and obscene at face value. I would have accepted a no-cost switch of faucets even knowing I had made such a bad decision originally. In effect, I would be paying over $1,500 for a kitchen faucet! I declined the service and am left with a faucet that is unsuitable for my needs. As a result, I will no longer use BF for my plumbing services. I will terminate my BF Society membership. I can’t claim that BF mislead or coerced me to buy this product. Nor can I accuse BF of trying to swindle a senior citizen. I should know a bad deal when I see one, but I authorized the work. More importantly, I will advise my family, friends and neighbors to never use BF service for anything. FYI, I belong to the Seven Oaks (Silver Spring) community association which covers over 800 homes, and I will alert these homeowners to your pricing and advise them to steer clear of your company. This experience has left me feeling bitter and used by your company.

Never failed me ever, installed a complete water system overall which rocked, and I have turned to them immediately upon need for many years. . And , yes, they are very punctual.

Was disappointed with the lies I was fed on. When I called I was told that I would pay a one time fee of about $ 69 and that I would have a technician come to my house, diagnose the problem, and give me an estimate. Well the guy came and told me that I had to pay another $279 for him to cut the dry wall to do a leak search and that it was non refundable. To me that meant that it would cost me about $350 to get an estimate. Surely what business is this for telling lies and increasing the cost to offer an estimate? Very disappointed and was very unhappy that my $69 dollars was just for someone to come to my house to ask me the same questions I had answered on the phone before his coming. He surely knew/should have been informed by his office what the situation was before coming and therefor it was a rip off. I would expect the company to refund my money because they never earned it.

I purchased a waterless tank. I was never given the certification paperwork to claim the rebate/energy tax savings. The water takes six minutes of running water to become warm. I telephoned more than a dozen times asking for someone to return with the paperwork and repair the waterless tank to lessen the time it takes to heat the water and the amount of water wasted waiting for the water to heat up. Each telephone call was answered and I was told the manager was out of the office and/or on vacation. No one ever returned to the home to verify installation was correct, verify equipment was operating correctly, or provide paperwork. No one stood by their work or equipment. On a separate issue when the living room ceiling had a water spot I telephoned on a Friday at 11 am and was told no one could come until the following Tuesday even after spending thousands of dollars on the waterless tank which I later learned was tremendously overpriced. Silly me for trusting Ben Franklin and not getting multiple bids verifying organization's reliability, ethics, trustworthiness.
