The Plumber from J and H Plumbing was professional, and thorough in his job. He replaced shut off valves that were just starting to weep, saving me possible mold in the cabinets. He also fixed two faucets that would never work right, restoring pressure to normal due to bad aerators. Highly recommend!
Great experienced plumbers. A company that cares about their customers.
Will hit a character limit explaining this company, but they are harassing me to pay an invoice for a job that I didn't approve and that they told me was warrantied work. Unfortunately, I trusted the business and didn't know that I needed to record my phone calls with them to prevent harassment. I have filed a BBB complaint and believe that and reviews are my only recourse given I don't have recordings of the phone calls. 1st visit (11/14/18) I called J&H Plumbing on Nov 13th for a mainline stoppage and getting a cleanout put in in my home, which was, and currently is, rented out. The rates seemed reasonable and we scheduled for the next day (to avoid night rates). On Nov 14th, Javier went out to my house, cleared the blockage and put in the cleanout. He told me that the drywall fit perfectly back in like nothing happened and everything was good. I paid this over two payments because I was out of state and lost my debit card (and was very appreciative that they didn't think I was trying to get out of paying or anything). There were some questions about the invoice, but they were resolved. 2nd visit (12/8/18) I called J&H on Sat, Dec 8th because the blockage was back; I explicitly asked for information on how this would work given they had just been out (I wanted to know if it was covered by warranty and planned to have someone come back on Monday so I wouldn't be charged weekend rates). I had one missed call from a number I didn't know, and they called back a little later. It was the plumber, telling me he was LEAVING the house having already finished the job. I was angry that I didn't approve him going over there, he told me I'd speak with someone on Monday. I called the office on Monday, December 10th and spoke with a female who told me she apologized for the miscommunication, but not to worry because I wasn't being charged and it was being treated as a warranty for the first visit. I understood this to be closed given our discussion and that they never sent me an invoice. They have since changed their story and are now threatening me. After thinking there was nothing to resolve, I even recommended them to my dad for a job. I emailed them to get a quote for them to come back out to my house to do a plumbing inspection and put a camera down so we could see if there were any problems to worry about. I also asked about how people usually cover the cleanout (assuming I wasn't meant to patch the drywall). This is when they started talking about this invoice. Originally when the lady called about the invoice, I thought she was talking about my second payment from the first visit and told her I'd already paid it. When they brought it up again, I asked them to send it through and on May 8th, I received the invoice for the Dec. 8th service for the first time. At that point I responded acknowledging that I hadn't paid it because I was told that there was nothing to pay. They then had the plumber from the first visit call to yell at me and today the owner called to threaten taking me to court. She claims that no one told me it was considered warranty work (though she has no evidence of that and wasn't on the phone) and she claims that the plumber called me before going to the house (which I assume is that missed call I had). She claims that I owe this invoice, though I didn't ask for anyone to go to my house, but they did anyway, and then told me it was warrantied work. She is threatening to put it on my credit, to take me to court, and even said she was going to call the Mesa police to arrest me for stealing services. There's still a big hole in my wall that Javier said fit as if nothing happened (but then when I asked how I'm supposed to cover it, he told the office that he offered me to put a panel over it and I declined it based on price). Which seems more likely, (1) that he forgot to mention the panel, and I reached out a few months later to ask how they're supposed to be covered or (2) that I declined the panel and then reached out a few months later pretending not to know that they're covered by an access panel?
This company has 1.5 stars on Yelp. We filed a claim against one of there employees and they totally screwed up the garnishment due to a complete lack of knowledge about the process. We are now filing an Order to Show Cause against them. Completely incompetent and very rude.
They charged me for 1 1/2 hrs to remove a garbage disposal that was actually only an hour! They were 4 hours late for the service call and never offered an apology!
