Update: After writing this review, I was contacted by Paul at John L's Plumbing. He confirmed that the charge was incorrect and has adjusted the price of the service call. I believe him when he says it was a mistake. I have changed my review from one star to four stars. I used John L's Plumbing around five years ago, and they did a great job at a reasonable price. Yesterday I called them with an emergency request to clear my kitchen drain prior to the weekend. I asked and confirmed that the price would be $175 inclusive, so long as the service took less than one hour. I asked twice, verified that there was no additional travel time charge, etc. The plumber showed up at 4:30 PM and finished a little after 5:00 PM (when the overtime rate kicks in). He then charged me $218.50 for the 1/2 hour of work. I feel I was lied to, and that they manipulated the service call to maximize their profit. The invoice Number for this service is #4281.

Fast ,knowledgeable service!!!! Reasonable prices. The plumber who came out immediately figured out the problem with my water heater whereas another company tried & couldn't figure it out. They had 3 trucks with 5 people & could not fix it. John L's took one person about 10 minutes.

I called and asked for someone who could go on the roof and clear the main line as we had drains going down very slowly for several days. The plumber came out and could not clean out the main line because he could not clear from roof by himself and could not find a clean out..the plumber was there for 2 hours and I paid $268. It lasted 4 hours of clear drains then everything backed up and flooded house with sewerage. Would not reccomend this plumbing company. I called Brinson plumbing and the plumber took up the toilet and cleared the main line in 45 minutes.
