We contacted numerous plumbers and Pete was only one available that services our area. He offered same services for a much lower price. He had all drains clear within an hour???? thank goodness.

Well let me put it to you gently Mr Mudd. You have to actually get out of it can and off the phone to do the work! Just saying

We had a sewage back up and called Pete after Mr Quick quoted us very high to have a clean out put in. Pete and one other gentlemen were much cheaper. Pete however was local to our area and appeared to know the neighborhood and area. He promised to get us functional that night (Monday) and that the clean out would be installed by Wednesday at the latest. He showed up very late Monday night but we were just happy he finally arrived. After a ton of small talk he likes to talk they got to work. Then talked some more and long story short couldn’t find where the pipe came out. After digging up our plant and trying he decided to come back Tuesday with a backhoe and try again. Tuesday he texting me at 930 that he promised to get us taken care of that day, his son (17) brought his friend (15 or 16) over to dig the whole (no backhoe.) Again a couple hours went by and he couldn’t figure it out at this point Pete showed up shook our hand and said no matter what he promised he would have us done by Wednesday. We had missed work Monday and Tuesday because of plumbing but he said we could go to work Wednesday all work would be outside. I assumed this meant he would be here during the day and we would come home to working plumbing. I explained i left a check to mudds plumbing signed and that my fiancé would put in the amount upon completion. He said i wrote it to wrong i need to make the check to him personally, another red flag, so i said ok I’ll fix it when i get home but i get home late. The account is in my name so I will have to write a new check. When I arrived home at 7pm he still had not arrived I got a text saying sorry we got behind and will be there soon. They did not arrive until 9pm at which point I’m like there’s no way I’m getting this done tonight as promised. We are typically in bed by 1030. Two hours later and he needs in our crawl space to find this pipe he’s now been looking for for 3 days. Long and behold he has been digging in the wrong spot for 3 days. Once he figured out its location he dug there, found the pipe and said he gave us release enough to shower and would be back Saturday to finish the job. By this time it is almost 2 a.m. and I am asleep he told my fiancé he needed a check for half of the jobs cost and would need the other half upon completion. Which cost was now double the original quote. We both woke up late because of being exhausted and slept through our alarm. Already running late we thought well at least we can get in a quick shower. But alas the shower backed up immediately all over again. This has been one big disaster. After reading reviews where people went through similar things and Pete never returned to finish the job we put a stop payment on the check to be safe, consulted a lawyer, and told Pete he was no longer welcome on our property. We had a different more reputable plumbing company come out. Sure Pete can probably snake a drain but to hire him for anything more than basic plumbing be ready for a disaster of empty promises and a job that never gets completed. Pete also told us nothing in our house was up to code and eventually he recommends replumbing the whole house. Furthermore Roto rooter came out and was able to give us relief within an hour of being at the property. They too checked our plumbing and said that there was a dip but everything is done properly and up to code, they did recommend because the pipe that is dipping to be replaced but this was optional and something we could do later on. However upon inspection of the work Pete did he would have to replace the joint and fix some other issues that were caused by Pete. So Pete not only caused us to wait too long for relief, he never did the job he came for and caused damage. I would not recommend Pete to anyone.

We found out last night that our bladder was rusted thru in the well house. I was in need of a plumber and called Mudds because it was after hours and he said he could be out within the hour. It took till 11pm to get it fixed. We thought for sure we would be paying a huge bill...but it was very reasonable and we will definitely use him again when we need a plumber

I hired Pete Mudd to dig a simple 50' perimeter drain around my house. He quoted me 2 days to finish, but almost 4 weeks later it is still unfinished. He never showed up on time, and would often arrive at 3pm (or later) to start his work day - working until 9pm some nights (and disrupting my family's evening at home). He continually promised he would finish that day, but I could never see any progress. when I finally fired him, he told me wasn't leaving and I had to call the County Sherriff. As of this review, he has still left a backhoe and several tools in my yard and refuses to claim them, even after repeated requests. Edit: I have nearly paid in full for work that is maybe 50% completed. I requested a partial refund from the owner (less than half of what I have paid) but he has still been beligerint and even threatened me. As for weather being a factor, there have been several dry and sunny days over the past month in which I have begged Pete to come finish , and every time he refused. He had plenty of days to finish, if ibly he had shown up. I definitely feel ripped off, and maybe even scammed.
