I will start by saying, I am giving a two-star rating because Scott was friendly. SPK plumbing was sent to me via my HSA Home Warranty. I requested service for a water heater in which the pilot kept going out. Spark it back up and within 24 hours it was off again. SPK arrived and first kinda mumbles "this is going to be a tough one" when starting to look at some pipes and the water heater. After he investigated further, he said he was completely unable to do ANY work until I replaced the main service line, which could cost $2,000 - $7,000 he stated. Now, I get that the main service line was lead, which every house in my neighborhood is most likely the same and I am going to venture to say people aren't replacing a pipe every time their is an issue with water.... Once he left I got some second opinions from some people I trusted, as they are in the same field. Everyone, says they could do the same work. Now, I get not wanting to work with lead, but I got stiffed the $75 service fee, for SPK to come out, relight my water heater (went out later that day), tell me to spend a ton of money or else he couldn't work, and then leave. At that point if you are not going to help, you should speak with the warranty company and have my $75 refunded, because no help was given. Needless to say, I have another servicer who is completing the work with no issues or problems and everything is safe and sound.
My experience is he likes to charge for work then when he received good service wants to exit the bill and call they police to fight his battles.....i have they one up....im a better person not to press charges when i found him on my property looking threw a car that didn't belong to him...words of advice scotty princess.
