I had a stopped up bathroom sink. Service Pro has been running a newspaper ad for $99.00 for unstopping a drain, so I gave them a call. When I spoke to the operator I asked if they still had the $99.00 special she said yes but there was a $39.00 setup fee. The operator transferred me to the plumbing operator and I gave them my information. Then the plumber arrived he looked at the sink and said I will have to get on the roof and that will be $248.00. He did not check anything out but immediately went to the $248.00 price. When I asked what about the $99.00 special he replied no because he had to get on the roof that was the standard fee. I was shocked about the price and that he did not check anything out but immediately when to the higher price. I declined the work and paid the $39.00 I called another plumber and he came out an assessed the stopped up drain, got his auger out to got thru the wall. He had the drain cleared in about 20 minutes and the charge was $85.00 I believe Service Pro was trying to take advantage of me because of the $39.00 set up fee and the $248.00 bid on the job. This happened October 2018
