I left a message five days ago with "answering service" of my full job details for a master bath remodel. I needed some advice on replacing an existing jacuzzi tub with a soaking tub and reworking the plumbing if necessary. I guess they are not interested in the job because I still have yet to get a response from anyone. If this is something they were unable to assist me with then I would have appreciated the decency of a return call. Now I'm set back another 1-2 weeks waiting for a plumber....this is not how you do business and unfortunately it has cost them a reliable customer who potentially would have used them for some AC work as well.
We returned home from a vacation to find our basement flooded due to a faulty hot water heater. I called Action Plumbing on Saturday morning at 9 am and they were able to show up at 10 am and had the new hot water heater installed by 12. No hidden fees, they just expected the price quoted to me on the phone. I was totally impressed with the quality and speed of this repair. We will use them in the future for sure.
Same day service, quick, professional and the price was more than fair!
1.0 star rating 1/7/16 First to Review 0n Jan 6, my renters informed me that their water heater wasn't working. I immediately called a plumber, which was (regretfully) Action Plumbing. They said they could have someone out there to repair it at 0900 the next day. I told them to please make sure the plumbing tech called me in the morning while he was there to discuss options (repair or replace, etc) so that my renters would get their hot water back as soon as possible. Kim assured me they would. I gave her both my cell number and my home number. At 0930 the next day, I called to see what was going on. Again I was assured that the tech would call me before leaving the property. I heard nothing, so at 1135, I called again, and was told they will contact the tech by radio and have him call me when he gets there as they were running behind. I again gave them my number and said please pass to him. At 1355 , I still hadn't heard anything. Now, I wouldn't normally pester people so much, but I really didn't want my renters going another day without hot water. So, I called Action Plumbing again and was told the tech was there at 0800 and had left hours ago. I asked why he didn't call me...I was told "He tried call me but couldn't reach me." I said "When? I gave you two phone numbers and neither one of those numbers was called." There was a moment of silence, then I was told "John will call you." At 1421, John calls and tells me the plumber had been out at the house around 0800, and left right away because "we don't work on Whirlpool water heaters. But, we can sell you one of ours." I was a little unhappy with this new info, because it meant that my nice renters probably would have to go another day without hot water. I asked him "Why didn't you guys tell me this when I called yesterday! If you have some absurd policy where you only work on particular brands of water heaters, don't you think it would be a good idea to ask people what heater they have when they call you?! And why didn't you tell me this this morning at 0800 so I could make other arrangements! Now my renters have to go another day without hot water!" I told also John I felt like this was an attempt to force me to buy one of their water heaters, and given the length of time it took them to call me, maybe to also force me into paying for after hours overtime installation fees. I told him I will never use his company again. I hung up and called Lowes, where I got a great water heater for 1/2 the cost of the ones Action tried to sell me. Brian was very helpful, and it will be installed tomorrow. I then called my renters to let them know, and they told me that the Action plumbing tech that morning had looked at the water heater, and left without even saying good bye. They assumed he was going to get a new water heater and had no idea that he had left for good. What kind of company does that?
