D&S Plumbing

I called and spoke to Shawn, advised of my issue (a foul odor coming from my kitchen sink that does not have a garbage disposal) that fills the entire house. He submitted a request for a plumber to come out. Trey called after while and advised there's nothing he'd be able to do but come, look at the sink, smell the odor, charge me a diagnostic fee and tell me to put bleach down the drain; all of which I've done numerous times and more, to no avail, so I figured something was wrong which is why I called a plumber to identify why the odor persists and to try and resolve it. I can appreciate honesty but there has to be some type of resolution instead of my just dealing with it so who am I supposed to call if not the plumber? Possible sewage gas odor (which is dangerous an toxic) throughout the entire house but there's nothing that can be done? I called back to speak with Daniel and identify why I wasn't advised that nothing can be done initially before anticipating someone to come out. I spoke to Shawn again who advised the reason he requested someone out was because he wasn't a plumber. I asked again to speak to Daniel and was informed he is in N.C. I asked why I wouldn't be able to contact him just because he's in N.C. and I was informed he's doing a job out there. So I inquired my not being able to speak to him and if I'd have to wait until he returned and I was advised that he would reach out. Missed a call a while after from who I presume was Daniel but he didn't leave a message nor answer when I called back. The only reason I presume it's him is due to my researching the # that called. Overall I'm flustered. To give an update on 8-22, the smell was indeed sewerage gas and another plumbing company came right out to resolve the issue and advised me this was dangerous to live in and inhale.

My water heater had a big leak overnight. I discovered it first thing in the morning. D&S was the first plumbers i got a hold of, they said they could do it that day and would be out between 2-4. They would not give me a price, not even a ballpark! By the time the plumber got there at 3:30 and gave me the price $1500,, I felt like i don't want to wait another day our longer,this was Thursday afternoon. I gotta go with them. The plumber did the job, very professional, very good work. I guess my beef is not getting at least a ballpark estimate so I could make a better decision. This was a wide open basement with garage door access easy job. With today's t technology i could always send pictures to get a ballpark! 5 stars for the tech, 3 for not helping me be better informed early.

My hot water tank was leaking and I was panicking...I called several plumbers who either didn’t answer or couldn’t get to me before a couple of days.... I finally called D&S and got a live person! They sent Mike out who gave me a diagnosis and came out the next day to install my new system!! He was very prompt, courteous and professional! (Worked through lunch). Thank you guys for great service and thank you guys for Mike (Michael) who made this process stress free!!!!
