Lanes for Drains PLC

Really good service when the engineer visited my home within 2hr callout window through my insurance emergency cover. Drain jetted and problem sorted, employee was very polite and helpful, kudos to Mr A Jones from Leeds depot.

One of your drivers hit me on the M1. After pulling over and accepting responsibility he took my details and said someone would call me back. No one did. I had to chase it. A colleague said he would get the CCTV footage from the van. Now he is saying that they don't have it and isn't accepting responsibility. Not a great way for a member of your work force to behave.

These were sent through AXA home insurance. I had a serious waste stack blockage which I had spent a good day attempting to unblock. The chap from Lanes turned up and said 'yeah easy', mashed my toilet with a huge plunger (i told him it was the stack and not the toilet), flooded my bathroom with foul water and then said, unfortunately I can't help you, you need a plumber?!?! Since then I have managed to dismantle half my home to find an access point to the internal stack and managed to get water flowing again. It still needs a professional to sort this out before it backs up again and i'm still waiting for that call back.... utterly useless and not sure what else to do.

Worst service ever. Engineer didn't come as promised and went to another job instead. When I complained to the company, the engineer said he could not find my address! Load of rubbish. Definitely would not recommend.

Googled 'Blocked Drain' and Lanes for Drains came up so I rang them late on a Saturday afternoon. The lady was courteous and helpful; she explained that all their operatives were busy today and it would be cheaper to use 'Lanes' on a weekday which I thought was good to hear. The following day I decided to forego the cheaper option and get them out. A different lady called their operative and we arranged to meet me at 2 which is exactly what happened. The man was polite and very knowledgeable and he unblocked the drain with the minimum of fuss and cleared up the mess. I was extremely impressed by the whole thing and I won't hesitate to use them again.
