WORK ORDER ISSUES THAT WERE ADDRESSED: #1: Emergency Issue: Biohazard in home and unsanitary issue. Tree roots in pipes causing severe backup of raw sewage through drain pipe in basement. Rodding was needed of all sewer lines/drains in house to ensure all lines are clear. Could not use toilet properly or sinks at all due to backup in basement. This was the *primary* issue. #2: Slow toilet that runs constantly due to scale and bad gasket/seal -- replacement needed. Also, toilet took forever to fill up and this issue was resolved with an adjustment to the interior hardware of the toilet. #3: Bathtub overflow drain needed complete replacement with proper seal and hardware including replacement of overflow drain plate and seal as well as a new tub stopper. I've used A Better Plumber twice now and have been impressed both times. My first experience with this company was with a major problem with my sewer line and they knew the problem was on the utility company's end so my landlord was NOT billed for the servicing of that sewer problem. They also knew that my plumbing issue was an emergency and a biohazard/sanitation issue -- with sewage backing up into my basement, and they got a team out to my place FAST to fix this issue! They are a 24/7 emergency responding company and this is one of the TOP reasons I hire them. My area is known for root problems in the sewer lines and this issue can easily cause an unsanitary situation at the most inopportune times. I like that these guys can do it all -- from fixing a leaky toilet to rodding out a line full of tree roots and even excavation if needed to fix a bad pipe. This indicates this company is run by someone who's extremely knowledgeable in his trade. The dispatch/office staff is also a great group of ladies and are top-notch pros in relaying concerns and coordinating between the customer and the team of plumbing technicians that are sent to a job. In every category -- competitive price, professionalism, courtesy, respect and care while working inside or outside your home, being aware of pets as they go in and out to their work-truck, and just general knowledge of their trade is 100% top notch. Just a bit of advice: I personally make sure I'm free the entire day I'm expecting *any* service guys as we all know they can occasionally run late from jobs prior to your scheduled time. Even when this team of guys was going to be late -- the dispatch office was always professional and communicates well. They're in high demand due to the prestige of being a top-rated sewage and plumbing provider contracted with our local water and sewage utility company -- Illinois American Water. A Better Plumber deserves this honour and I will definitely be using their services again.

We called the number in the yellow pages, left a message and our call was returned promptly. The representative showed up at exactly the scheduled time and took the time to explain our problem and economical ways to deal with it. The work was done promptly, at the promised time, completely and neatly. They went over and beyond to satisfy us. We truly recommend their service, honesty and work. Excellent

We recently had "A Better Plumber & Sewer Company" repair our broken sewer line. They were fast, efficient, and did an excellent job - at a very fair price. This job required significant digging in my front yard with a backhoe. They were very careful to keep the machinery and excavated dirt on sheets of plywood to avoid damaging my yard, and they cleaned up after themselves very carefully. When they left you couldn't even tell they been here (except for the fact my sewer now works :). They even hand dug a shrub to remove it prior to the job, then replaced it when finished. This is a very professional company, and I would highly recommend their work. I will definitely be using them the next time I have plumbing issues.
