A real disappointment. Treat people with such disrespect. Here you are just a number. Leaves much to be desired. The company isnt as prosperous as they purport to be. two imbeciles working there Ash Palmer and Hedleigh Steere complaints without reasons liars ,disrespect new workers avoided
Tried to ring and speak to Heather Baldwin, she's never in - never returns your calls yet, they are screaming for engineers? Sorry, but if you don't return calls or e-mails then I can see why you have no engineers..pretty shocking to be honest!
What can I say here, well, it's a great place to work for. Get in touch with them for electrical matters and such like.
Great company
I had the misfortune of being an electrical subcontractor for McIntyre on a social housing contract. The first issue came up when they forgot to schedule me for my induction, so I had to force them to have me on the day. The second issue came with one of their software for uploading before and after pictures that did not work half of the time. The third and most important issue came when they called me to tell me that they cannot pay me for the electrical certificate condition reports that have been unsatisfactory, because the client only paid on a satisfactory condition report. Please note that they have not provided any stock, nor paid you for using your own materials. After a phone argument with the project manager, they finally agreed to pay for all of them pending that I would return to do the repairs. Consequently, they called me back to tell me that I have not invoiced them, given that I have filled an invoice for every single site. They replied that those where their own invoices for the client. So for 40£ an EICR, you are expected to complete the inspection, complete the certificate, upload it, upload the pictures, fill in the invoice for them (yes they expect you to do their invoicing), fill in the invoice for yourself as subcontractor, fill in a timesheet (I don’t know for what as you are paid per job, and you have to do a separate invoice to get paid). And all of that will give you 40£ IF you have marked the EICR as satisfactory. I could add that you are expected to supply everything you need, including, van, fuel, tablet, work phone, tools, PPE, etc. After they agreed to pay the unsatisfactory EICRs, they called me to tell me that my UTR is not valid. Then that is not CIS registered, and it is so they had to hold 30% of my earnings. Considering that my HMRC approved accountant has confirmed in writing to me that the UTR is CIS registered and I have been paid thru it before, I could not trust them any further. They gave me a van stock after they realized I cannot pass the EICRs if there are faults. By that time I already had enough of them. I have only received 30% of payments and had to keep the van stock until they decide to give me what I am owed.
