We asked Allan for a quote. He will come by and make measurements and pose as one of the best in field. You will soon find that he is someone who proposes to work only out of his own fixed catalogue, which is absolutely poor value for money. Initially he posed as if he is a very flexible person, and then soon he began to compel you into paying a deposit, which is huge and provides reassurance that he will be flexible. As soon as we found that we could get better bathroom furniture at the price that he is suggesting, we tried cancelling the order. Allan hesitated to pay us the deposit and was not flexible. I would ask you to be very cautious in dealing with Bathtopia and ensure that you have carefully reviewed the products before you pay any advance.
Allan was great! Professional and helpful from start to finish. We found Allan to communicate brilliantly throughout the work being carried out! We had two bathrooms completed by Bathtopia. Both were tricky dated rooms but Allan’s expertese enabled us to design rooms that suited not only our style but how we would use the spaces long term as a family! We now have a gorgeous family bathroom and a converted en-suite which is now an easily accessible family shower room! It’s totally transformed the flow of our home!
blown away with my new bathroom, designed by Alan @ Bathtopia and work done by Mark and his team @ Brody Plumbing and Heating in October 2018. from start to finish it was perfect, the design makes my tiny bathroom look massive, the workmanship and quality of products used was fantastic. Only thing I am disappointed about was not taking before photos!
Bathtopia works like.so.mamy small businesses now in that Allan is the arranger and he brings other trades in to do the job. They allocate time for the job and if all goes well then everything is good. If there are problems it's hard to get them back as they are on to the next project. I gave this 1 star to reflect the process. My 3 bathrooms began in April and are now as complete as I am going to get them. Don't get me wrong the job is excellent. The tiling fantastic, the fittings are great and despite months of texts and phone calls it's a lovely job. My job was done mainly by C&G plumbing from Paisley and they worked hard and dud a good job. But the aftersales is rubbish. I have not seen Allan (Bathtopia)) since job was done and he passes everything back to the relevant trade. By all means use Bathtopia and you will probably get a lovely job. My advice though is hold back a big chunk of cash until you are 100% satisfied. That way you are guaranteed completion in less than 5 months. Good luck.
Pretty much the same as the other 2 1 star reviews. If your looking to get ripped off and have some shady workmen do your bathroom by all means this is your guy. Allan seems nice enough he’s more of a blagger though. Once he has your money don’t expect anybody to come out and fix the problems they leave. C&G plumbing are straight up cowboys putting John Wayne to shame. By the looks of it allan has switched to guys called BrodyPlumbing I couldn’t tell you if there any good but I’d avoid to save the hassle. That’s my first bathroom I’ve bought and paid for and the only good thing I can take out it is I’ll not make the same mistake twice. I recently got in contact with C&G and Chris reply was “I’ve never done work for an allan at bathtopia” I think that says it all. It’s a shame you have cowboys like these companies still operating and ripping people off and there’s literally nothing you can do about it so I leave this review to warn others from making the same mistake as me.
