Our AC stopped working right in the middle of the Summer last year and we live the worst days you can ever imagine! We called different companies but My Guy HVAC offered the most reasonable prices. They sent worker a few hours later, and told us exactly what was wrong , he didn't try to up sell us anything but he did explained everything in detail so that we could make the right decisions, I guess they are right when it comes to your AC needs!
From now on, if any friends or family ask for an hvac recommendation, I can tell them to call My Guy!!! We had an issue with our furnace during the coldest night ever and couldn't get our (previously) regular company out to the house so I was frantically calling to get anyone to come out. I'd seen that My Guy was recommended on a neighborhood forum so I called and left a message. In the meantime, my husband was tinkering with the furnace (we're DIYers whenever we can be) and got it working again. My Guy was the first to call back from any other company. The guy working the phones was great and even though we'd gotten it working, I decided right there to cancel my morning appt with the other company and I scheduled an appointment with My Guy for the next morning just to be sure all was working right. Damian arrived promptly and was so knowledgeable, took the time to explain a lot of the eccentricities of our old unit, inspected everything, confirmed that we did the right thing and that things were now working as they should be. No pushy sales, just good customer service. The service diagnostic fee we paid for the visit/issue is good for 30 days and if we decide we want to replace the part that was the root, they'll do it within that time frame for no additional charge other than the part. Amazing. So glad to have found My Guy!!!
My guy hvac over charge for parts and services you do not need. 700.00 later and had to call another service, (national) they fix the problem... my guy hvac is a RIP-OFF STAY AWAY. My guy hvac charge me for a motor, that after inspection I did not need and it was not the motor that was causing the problem, because after the motor was replaced I had the same noise. I will write every review so people will choose another service!!!
I was so impressed with My Guy! Damien came out for a service call to check my AC as it’s not cooling as it should. He was so helpful not only assessing the problem, but gave me some great suggestions to make things run more smoothly with both my furnace and AC. He was so clear with his explanation of all. I’ve had other companies out, but I’ve never experienced such detailed, knowledgeable, and friendly service to this degree. If you want a good education on your utilities and an honest answer, you’ve found it. Thanks for your help, you’re my go-to from now on!
THE BEST, hands down. This is a very, very long overdue review. I manage 20 units around Chicago and up until last year had continued using each building's previous HVAC company assuming it'd be better to stick with someone who knows the systems. That is, until I found MyGuy. In the past year, I've enlisted their services for bi-annual cleans and about 15 heating or AC emergencies. Sadly many other companies out there take advantage of "desperate times" and gouge you on prices, which you'd never know unless you had a comparison. MyGuy is in a class of their own - they are quick, professional, fair, and just all around QUALITY people. I never thought I would be so indebted to an HVAC company, but truthfully my business could not survive without them. I recommend them for anything and everything!!
