Went to Home Depot on Alakawa St. three separate times to shop for replacement windows ad doors. Average wait time was 30-45 minutes to have someone help us. We left each time. Wait, it gets "better"! On the fourth visit someone helped us within 10 min. After spending over an hour selecting almost $2000.00 in windows/doors, we were told before we place the order an installer would have to come to our house to get exact measurements. Makes sense. We had to pay for the service which is understandable. We paid over a hundred dollars using our credit card and were told someone would call to set up the appointment. A week later, no call. We called them. Another two days. No call back.
Usually has what I need or want.
I visited homedepot to replace windows and doors worth over 20k. Every visit I had to wait over 30min for someone to help me. In fact, i called from inside the home Depot to get a sales person. Sales person said that I must pay for the installer to come over the house to measure. Paid $50 deposit and the installer showed up an hour late. No calls for over 2 weeks. Called home Depot for estimate. Received an estimate with inaccurate window counts. Called home Depot to resubmit. No estimate uptodate. Called Home Depot, sales person said that the installer quit. They have to send another installer to come and measure again. No one ever contacted for one month. Called home Depot again and the person said "sorry" I asked for my deposit back and went elsewhere.
Last year (2013) my wife and I went to Home Depot to have our two bathrooms remodeled. We signed contract in June and work could not start until building permits were obtained. Work began in September and lasted until January (we had to be home a total of 30 days for the work). This was due to: materials not being sent on time, materials had to be re-ordered because of damage in transit to our home and numerous scheduling conflicts. Contractors included Kitchen & Bath Remodeling, Commercial Plumbing, Clifford Okinaga, and EMK electrical. During this extended installation piles of materials were stacked on our front Lanai and one of our spare bedrooms. Workers did not use drop cloths and did not clean up after they finished work. To top it off, the upstairs shower leaked because the drain was broken during installation which required repair work that extended the installation time. To add insult to injury, someone from Home Depot is calling to say that we still owe them for the project even though have emailed to them that I have paid for every thing. I will never step into a Home Depot again and my wife and I are telling our friends and relatives to never use Home Depot for their remodeling. My rating: -1000
Standing at the flooring department for a long time. Nobody even ask you if any assistance is needed. Begging for service?? Come over here and you will continue begging. And nobody really cares!
