Fast to take payment for every little thing and the measurement team even ordered items for my flooring project that I didn't need and now I have to find time in my busy schedule to return these items to the store myself. The original installer was a no show the first day so I was late getting to work that day as well as the day he actually showed up to install flooring. He messed up the flooring and I had to have a repair man come out and he wasn't able to make it much better. Throughout the process I have been the one who has to follow up with the store as their promises to follow up with me have not come to fruition. I have friends and neighbors who have seen the new flooring and they have call it an eyesore due to the flaws in installation. I spent approx $1,200 on this flooring and "eyesore" is not the look I was hoping for. I have many other home improvement projects planned but I can't imagine using Home Depot as my resource for any further work in my home.
I absolutely adored the flooring specialist that assisted me. His name is Emanuel Lombard, and he was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful with every question or issue I had. ●But regarding my FINALLY ordered carpeting: Was disappointed that the " Free carpet install, now INCLUDING furniture moving " did NOT include the one kind of carpeting that I chose; even though the sign is large and right in front of the carpet I chose. It will be $1300 more for ADDED LABOR alone. I would've never wasted so much time redoing my flooring right now, had it not been for FALSE ADVERTISING on Home Depots part. I should also admit that I shop there in the Brandon store often, and usually, the experience is always nice.
My father ordered a custom door for his new office, we had to wait a month after our door was finished before we were able to get it from them. I went and had to wait 25 minutes to get my door. Then, I bought $100.00 of materials (trim, door handle, lock, etc.) and took everything to my dad's office. I had the door installed, which involved cutting down a plaster wall and moving electric wiring (We had the building renovated, and the workers were supposed to enlarge the doorway. I just figured they forgot.). They call 2 days later and say that they gave me the wrong door and that the woman whose door they gave me has been waiting 3 weeks for her door. I had to pay more than double of what it should have cost to install the door (materials not included), and now they are going to take down the door and deliver it to the lady it belongs to, and I have to get my dad's door installed all over again, along with making the doorway smaller.
