They have a lot of good products, but it was difficult to find help and when I did, the person didn’t know much. Better to look things up on google.
Home Depot always has what I'm looking for!
I am writing to extend our huge thanks to Greta (Ms. G as I heard people call her!) at the Houston, Brinkmann store. It would take too long to write how our carpet purchase initially went; suffice to say, not good. I had to return the first carpet we ordered as it should have not been sold to a person who has dogs and I clearly stated I had two dogs. Anyway, since my house was completely unloaded in anticipation of the installation... a HORRID mess, I was extraordinarily stressed and upset while at work. My husband went to the HD store and explained that we needed to select another carpet that day and get it ASAP and have it installed as our house was in shambles and we had out of town guests coming next week. Thank goodness, my husband was speaking with someone who cared and acted... Greta. She understood our situation and told him to bring me in when I got off of work and that she'd do all she could to help. That she did... and I was not pleasant when I got there. She seemed to know it wasn't directed at her and recognized my stress. Not only did she actually find the actual carpet I wanted (she said "what about this one?" after I'd been searching high and low and I said, Yes!), but she also called Mohawk and asked them to rush it. On top of that, she FOLLOWED UP with them and with me! That doesn't happen in customer service much anymore. I was so impressed. And guess what? She was successful because the carpet actually is in today and the installers can do the job Tuesday. Thank goodness for Greta. Also, she KNOWS her job. It's so clear that she knows the systems, the vendors and the people at the store around her and she leverages all to get the job done to satisfy the customer. My husband and I were impressed. So, I say promote her and give her a raise. She is the type of employee HD needs.
