Company is marketing in my area and offering Discounts on their website. Called to get a quote and of course it’s too good to be true, although their website says they service my area specifically they are not accepting jobs in my area right now. Not good business. I would recommend staying away from companies who pick and choose when they will work in certain areas.

Misleading business practices and false advertising are being used by this company. I called and asked if they could come out for an estimate of time and cost for fixing a pump issue. I was told they could do that and then i described the issue. The person then directed me to an electrician that I would be responsible for coordinating with Curtis Septic. The electrician charged me $275 to come out and evaluate the problem. He added that if it was a simple problem he could fix it at no additional charge. I called Curtis Septic back and asked why I was being charged when they said they could have someone give me an estimate. The woman told me that the electrician does not actually work for Curtis Septic and they do not have an electrician. This means they referred me to another contractor, expected me to coordinate services, and I get charged for it. When I asked her why she did not disclose the fee I would be charged, she told me that she was trying to save me the $195 fee Curtis Septic would have charged to send someone out to evaluate the issue. Curtis Septic mislead me on the phone, failed to disclose fees, and advertises itself as a full service septic company when they are not able to address an electrical pump issue. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Take your business elsewhere.

Professional, ethical, and compassionate is how I would describe the owner of Curtis Septic Service, Andy Curtis. My 1st septic inspection was failed by a local inspector, the 2nd inspection conditionally passed, but the inspector couldn't back up his findings because of a completed perc test completed in my backyard. So the BOH challenged my option to replace the distribution box in my front yard instead of an entire new system. By a miracle, I was researching DEP laws, and trying to research legal advice and found CSS' number. I spoke with Andy who was an expert in septic systems and title 5 inspections. He offered to help me (even though I was @ 75 miles away). He hired expert soil evaluators and engineers to test the soil and water table. He even documented professional photos of the entire system. In a few weeks he'll be appearing before my town's BOH hearing to proof my system doesnt have a high water table in the front yard and that my septic system passes Title 5 standards as long as the d-box is replaced. I'm forever grateful for Andy's motivation as an industry leader to improve the accuracy of Title 5 inspections by passing new legislation to protect honest, competent inspectors and installers along with protecting the public from unnecessary repairs and costs. Thank you to Andy, his staff, and team of experts for helping me during a difficult time. God bless you. ????????????❤
