Had VCT tile installed in laundry room couple of weeks ago. Installer had to pour leveling compound first. I was surprised that he didn't prime the subfloor or use a heavy roller to lay tile flat. All I wanted was a simple grey and white check pattern and after installer left, I saw that there was a color in the wrong place. Next day several tiles were lifting up. A lot of the seams have not sealed properly and at least i/2 of the tiles sound hollow underneath. The installer is coming tomorrow to fix lifting tiles, but I'm pretty sure that the entire floor must be ripped out and redone. Spoke to COS at Home Depot once and he never got back to me. Someone from HD should have come out to look at floor to determine what needed to be done. Can't rely on installer. My contract was with HD. I even called and emailed complaint to Corp, but no response. Not enough tiles left to reinstall again. So I wait to see what happens......I.will update any results in the future.
